Protective gloves made of DuPont™ NOMEX® or KEVLAR® protect against thermal risks (heat & flame).

Scope : European Standard that specifies the test methods and the general requirements, the classification and the marking of gloves for protection against heat and/or fire (flames, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, small metal splashes or large projections of molten metal).
Heat & Flame Performance Criteria : Thermal performance : for each of the following test methods, the defined performance level depends upon the intended field of application of the glove. Only tests which are relevant to the risks in the intended end-use application shall be carried out.
